Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Repair and maintain electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform plumbing system maintenance and repairs to ensure proper operation of water supply and drainage systems.
- Carry out carpentry tasks such as building interior structures or repairing fixtures to support facility needs.
- Operate welding tools for metal repairs and fabrication projects as required.
- Maintain building interior spaces through painting, touch-ups, and general upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving facilities equipment maintenance or manufacturing environments.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance assistance.
- Lead or support team efforts in supervising maintenance activities when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, schematics, electrical equipment repair tools, and HVAC system repair techniques.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical work with tools like multimeters (ohmmeters) and understanding electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems maintenance and repair procedures.
- Ability to perform residential painting and basic carpentry tasks confidently.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork coordination.
- Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are highly valued.
- Certifications in welding or HVAC system repair are advantageous but not required; relevant technical training is preferred.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately to diagnose issues effectively.
