In-Store Customer Service Associate — HVAC Knowledge Required
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable Customer Service Associate to join our team on the floor. This is a customer-facing role — you'll be the first point of contact for contractors, technicians, and homeowners walking through our doors. If you love talking shop, solving problems, and actually know your way around HVAC equipment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Greet and assist customers in person, helping them find the right parts, equipment, and supplies for their projects
Answer product questions and provide basic technical guidance on HVAC systems, components, and applications
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
Assist with special orders, returns, and product availability inquiries
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
Build relationships with repeat customers — contractors and technicians especially — and earn their trust over time
Collaborate with the warehouse and purchasing teams to track down hard-to-find items
Stay current on new products, brands, and industry trends
What We're Looking For
1–3 years of experience in HVAC, whether in the field, at a supply house, or in a related trade
Comfortable talking with both professionals and DIY homeowners — you can adjust your communication style depending on who's asking
Strong people skills and a genuine interest in helping customers succeed
Basic computer proficiency for point-of-sale and inventory systems
Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
EPA 608 certification is a plus but not required
