Position: Head Barista
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Schedule: Morning shifts between 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with full-day or half-day shifts available.

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced, passionate Head Barista to lead our coffee program and deliver outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment, has strong espresso knowledge, and takes pride in maintaining high standards while helping lead the barista team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks using illy coffee.
- Maintain consistency and excellence in beverage preparation.
- Deliver warm, friendly, and efficient customer service.
- Lead by example and assist with training and mentoring baristas.
- Help manage daily café operations and workflow.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the espresso bar and café.
- Monitor coffee, milk, and café supply levels.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team serving our house-made pastries and café offerings.
- Open and/or close the café as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of barista or specialty coffee experience (lead experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and milk steaming.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive during busy morning service.
- Positive attitude with leadership qualities and a team-first mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
