We have Assistant Manager positions available at Island Thrift! We are large fast paced thrift stores open 7 days a week and have 3 locations!

2. 1800 Route 112 Medford 11763
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Travel between our Centereach and Medford location is a must
- Training cashiers and ensuring their day to day duties are met.
- Ring register and provide excellent customer service.
- Putting out merchandise and organizing the sales floor.
- Ensure the store is clean, orderly, and well-maintained. This includes making sure merchandise is displayed properly and inventory levels are correct.
- Complete and submit all paperwork that is due on a daily, weekly, or monthly to the Store Manager.
- Ensure proper pricing of merchandise, properly resolve issues with managers, cashiers and customers.
- Ensure the store is opened/closed properly and meets company expectations.
- Oversee the work of retail staff, ensuring they meet their day to day duties.
- Planning and assigning work schedules, interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Ensure customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services. This includes responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Managing cashiers and production employees.
- Assisting customers.
- Helping keep store clean and organized.
- Pitching in where extra help is needed.
