Overview
Join Mindful Stages as an Educational Psychometrist Assistant and play an essential role in supporting high-quality educational and psychological assessments. Working under the supervision of the Lead Psychometrist and Educational Psychologist, you will assist with administering standardized assessments, scoring test protocols, preparing testing materials, and maintaining accurate assessment records.
This position is ideal for individuals pursuing or holding a degree in psychology, education, special education, or a related field who are passionate about assessment and helping children, adolescents, and adults identify their strengths and learning needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, professional, and committed to maintaining testing integrity, confidentiality, and exceptional client care.
Duties
- Assist the Lead Psychometrist and Educational Psychologist during psychoeducational and academic evaluations.
- Administer standardized academic, cognitive, and developmental assessments under supervision and in accordance with standardized testing procedures.
- Score assessment protocols accurately using paper and computerized scoring systems.
- Prepare testing materials, organize assessment packets, and ensure all testing supplies are available before appointments.
- Enter assessment data into electronic records and maintain organized documentation.
- Review protocols for completeness and accuracy prior to report preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines.
- Assist with scheduling assessments, preparing client files, and coordinating testing appointments.
- Scan, upload, and organize assessment records within the electronic record system.
- Support quality assurance activities by verifying assessment documentation and maintaining accurate testing records.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development related to psychological and educational assessment.
- Provide a welcoming and professional experience for clients and families throughout the evaluation process.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, Education, Human Development, or a related field required.
- Previous experience administering or scoring standardized assessments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of standardized assessment procedures and testing ethics is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately score assessment protocols.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions and standardized procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Q-interactive, and electronic documentation systems.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in educational, clinical, or research settings is preferred.
- Experience administering and scoring Wechsler Intelligence Scales, KTEA, WRAT, Nonverbal IQ, visual motor and behavioral rating scales. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. The right person has experience and can hit the ground running.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working with sensitive information.
- Interest in educational psychology, psycho-educational assessment, learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, giftedness, or cognitive assessment is highly desirable.
