Position Summary:
The Extended Learning Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of extended learning programs at their assigned school, ensuring the successful implementation of academic and enrichment activities that support student achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well-being. This position involves supervising extended learning teachers and, when applicable, the 21st Century Site Coordinator, ensuring alignment with district and grant objectives. The Extended Learning Site Supervisor works closely with program staff, students, families, and community partners to create a high-quality, inclusive extended learning environment.

Qualifications:
Alabama professional leadership certificate
Master’s degree in education or a related field
Fingerprint clearance with the Alabama State Department of Education prior to the start date
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all extended learning programs at the assigned site
Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all extended learning programs at the assigned site
Ensure that programs meet the academic, social-emotional, and enrichment needs of students in a safe and nurturing environment
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate extended learning employees
Provide professional development opportunities for staff to enhance program quality and ensure compliance with grant requirements
Conduct regular meetings with program staff to review goals, performance, and student outcomes
Collaborate with school and district administrators to align after-school programs with school-day instruction and broader district initiatives
Work closely with community partners, local businesses, and other stakeholders to enhance program offerings
Ensure that all extended learning programs comply with federal, state, and district regulations
Prepare and submit required reports, including attendance, budget, and student performance data, etc. for the assigned school
Monitor program budgets and ensure proper allocation and use of funds in accordance with grant requirements
Foster strong relationships with families to encourage student participation and involvement in after-school programs
Organize family engagement events, workshops, and activities that promote parent involvement and support student success
Collect and analyze data on student attendance, academic performance, and social-emotional outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness
Use data to make informed decisions and recommend program improvements to enhance student learning and participation
Ensure that extended learning programs follow safety protocols and district policies for student supervision, health, and behavior
Perform other duties as assigned by the Extended Learning Supervisor, Superintendent of Education, or other district administrators

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee must also talk, hear, stand, and walk.
