Responsibilities
- Teach age-appropriate Mandarin Chinese lessons to children ages 2–5
- Create engaging activities that encourage listening, speaking, and vocabulary development
- Use songs, stories, games, movement, and hands-on activities to make learning enjoyable
- Maintain a safe, positive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with school administrators, teachers, and families
- Follow school policies and California childcare licensing requirements
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
- At least five years of experience teaching Mandarin to young children, preferably ages 2–5
- Strong classroom-management and communication skills
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required
- Must meet all required background-clearance and health requirements
Early Childhood Education Units
Candidates who have completed 12 Early Childhood Education units will receive priority consideration.
Qualified candidates without 12 ECE units may also be considered. LiMai Montessori Academy may sponsor the required 12 ECE units after the employee successfully completes a three-month probationary period, subject to school approval and continued employment.
