Job Summary:
The duties of this position revolve primarily around the front end of the store with a focus on keeping the store clean, neat and organized while also rotating stock to keep things fresh and to create themes along with the creation of signage for those themes.
The ability to think creatively and approach tasks from the perspective of treating each activity as a way of advertising to customers is a must.
Depending upon the skills and personality of the individual selected, duties may expand to include marketing activities such as social media posts, acting as a spokesperson in social media videos, writing newsletters, creating reports, and data management. Supervising of other staff members is also another area for potential growth.
All staff are also trained to operate the checkout counter, assist customers, pull and ship orders and other general tasks as needed or when duties specific to this position are completed.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has an attention to detail, can interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner, and who is able to handle multiple tasks on schedule while working to help the store grow and increase efficiency. This is a busy environment with several duties needing completion each day and employees need to be able to switch gears from one thing to another without constant supervision and direction.
We do not hire often as our staff tend to stay with us for a long time and we typically receive a large number of applicants when we do have an opening so we are very selective. Store hours range from 9 AM - 8 PM, varying slightly depending on the day of the week except for major holidays. Shifts will vary so flexibility is a must. Key days of required availability are Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (although weekend shifts rotate whenever possible). Starting hours total approximately 25-30 hours per week over 4-5 days with a goal of growth in both hours and pay for staff members who demonstrate their dependability, work ethic, ability to help the store grow, and providing excellent customer service.
We want this position grow so the selected individual only needs to prove themselves in order to earn additional hours and pay.

- Enough comic book knowledge to be able to promote those comics effectively
- Must be able to work standing for a significant portion of an average shift
- Ability to handle products carefully to avoid damage
- Must be able to accurately and timely process paperwork
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Experience/Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
