Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a positive environment that promotes early childhood development. Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports toddler care, behavior management, and childhood development milestones.
- Lead daily classroom activities focused on social skills, communication skills, and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality classroom management and childcare standards.
- Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication about children’s progress, milestones, and any special education or welfare needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, including standardized testing results and individualized plans for children requiring special education services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health protocols, and licensing requirements to promote child welfare at all times.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for toddlers.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies like preschool experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and the use of standardized testing for assessment purposes.
- Prior experience in private school settings or daycare centers will be considered an asset. Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
