Ethical Auto LLC, a newer automotive group aka Ethical Auto Repair, is seeking two highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician - "A"s to join our Griswold Automotive-North and our Bluemound Car Care service teams. In this role, you will perform comprehensive vehicle repairs and maintenance, but also serve as a mentor for our younger techs. As someone that can demonstrate accurate, high-thoughput work, we will work with you to craft a compensation formula that both rewards your competency and does not penalize you for taking time to teach others and elevate the team.
Responsibilities
- Be a resource to "B" and "C" techs when they get stuck.

- Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electronic issues.
- Perform repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain elements.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Repair and replace automotive systems including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other mechanical or electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto body estimates to ensure precise repairs aligned with manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry with a focus on automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Multiple ASE certifications is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, diesel engine repair, transmission repair, and heavy equipment mechanics.
- Experience working with European vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and power tools essential for automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in suspension system repair, wheel alignment, brake repair, oil changes, shocks & struts replacement, and other automotive service tasks.
- Ability to read technical manuals accurately and follow detailed repair procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and repair challenges.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
