JOB
Under supervision performs work of moderate difficulty in assisting and shadowing in related field; performs related work as assigned.
After incremental training in the apprentice position, employee will be able to demonstrate the ability to assist and work independently, autonomously, and consistently perform job duties.

Works closely with program manager in all aspects of the job from field work to office paperwork and follow up that is required

Learns and develops practical skills

Assists within the department, but also learn about other aspects of Coconino County

Completes training associated with the position

Receives, sorts, files and retrieves forms, correspondence and documents

Compiles reports and summaries of work

Updates, checks and completes records, forms and documents

Verifies discrepancies and makes corrections

Processes documents to update and maintain files and records

Researches records and disburses information

Processes and distributes confidential and sensitive documents

Maintains an electronic filing system as appropriate for the program

Composes, formats, and types routine correspondence, reports, and other documents

Operates and maintains a variety of office equipment

May perform data entry
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: driving; standing; walking; lifting; carrying 100 lbs (preparing for examinations); restocking clinical supplies; working with and around others, including family members, law enforcement, funeral directors, and other agencies; pushing/pulling 250 lbs; operating x-ray equipment; repetitive motion (elbow/shoulder) preparing for examinations, retrieving supplies, and scene investigations; vision acuity (near/far) for paperwork and examinations; performing autopsies; color vision; hearing and speech for telephone and (ordinary conversation) testifying in court, etc.; touch for examinations and typing reports; toxicology/histology preparations. Environmental conditions include: working with chemicals and potential injury/ cuts from tools; possible exposure to infectious agents; exposure to fumes, odors and gases. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
