Join a respected engineering consultancy where you'll design intelligent building systems for complex, high-profile projects across mission-critical facilities.
BMS Engineer | Richmond, VA
Design smarter buildings. Shape complex projects. Build your career.
Some Building Automation roles are all about service calls and troubleshooting.
This isn't one of them.
We're working with a nationally recognised engineering consultancy that is looking to add a BMS Engineer to its growing Richmond team. This is an opportunity to work on the design and delivery of intelligent building systems for some of the most technically challenging projects in the country.
You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop control strategies, write sequences of operation, review submittals and RFIs, and help deliver sophisticated HVAC automation solutions across mission-critical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and commercial facilities.
Why consider this opportunity?
- Join a respected engineering consultancy with genuine career progression
- Work on complex, high-profile projects rather than repetitive service work
- Play a key role in BMS design, documentation and project delivery
- Exposure to advanced facilities including mission-critical and industrial environments
- Collaborative office environment with flexible half-day remote Fridays
- Excellent benefits package and long-term development opportunities
What we're looking for
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls and mechanical systems
- Ability to develop or review sequences of operation and control strategies
- Experience with design documentation, RFIs or submittals is advantageous
- Background with platforms such as Niagara, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls, Distech or similar is welcomed
Whether you're currently working for a consulting engineer or a building automation contractor, this is an opportunity to move into a role with greater technical ownership and long-term career growth.
If you're interested in discussing the position confidentially, we'd love to hear from you.
