Hours/Shift Monday to Friday 11am to 7pm
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI scanners with precision, ensuring high-quality image acquisition for diagnostic evaluation.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the scan.
- Maintain strict adherence to equipment safety procedures and infection control standards using aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging protocols based on patient physiology and diagnostic needs.
- Manage Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and sharing medical images efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety regulations, medical terminology standards, and radiation safety guidelines during all procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating MRI scanners
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment and understanding of equipment safety procedures.
- Ability to perform IV insertions and maintain aseptic technique when necessary.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including patient safety regulations and effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and the use of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
