Position Summary
River East Power Equipment is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Junior Sales Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting customers at the sales and parts counter, supporting the sales process, answering phones, maintaining the showroom, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the outdoor power equipment industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with equipment, parts, and accessory inquiries.
- Learn and sell Ariens, Gravely, Echo, and other product lines.
- Process sales transactions and customer payments.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct customers appropriately.
- Assist with parts look-up and basic inventory management.
- Keep the showroom clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Help receive, assemble, and display new equipment.
- Follow up on customer quotes and sales opportunities.
- Support the service department when needed.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, dependable, and willing to learn.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
