Job Title: Bartender
Department: Food and Beverage
Reports To: Restaurant Manager and General Manager
Core Responsibilities
- Drink Preparation: Mix traditional and creative cocktails, pour beer and wine, and prepare garnishes according to recipes.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, provide recommendations, and create a positive, engaging atmosphere.
- Safety & Compliance: Verify legal age (checking IDs) and monitor for over-consumption, adhering to all local laws and safety regulations.
- Bar Maintenance: Clean glasses, utensils, and surfaces to maintain a sanitary work area.
- Inventory & POS Management: Manage tabs, process cash/card transactions, and replenish stock.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of drink recipes, mixology, and, at times, beer and wine pairings.
- Experience: Previous experience is often required, particularly in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work late nights, and move heavy objects (kegs, cases).
- Certifications: requires ServSafe Alcohol and Food Handler
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
- Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
- Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
- Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and be responsive
- Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
- Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
- Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs

Pay: $12.00 - $25.00 per hour
