Entry level position for a moderately busy law firm based near Hoboken NJ with a presence also in NY State and NYC. The position will pay more over time including the possibility of becoming Partner.
Ideal candidate values the experience and opportunity to jump into becoming a real lawyer rather than starting pay. This position will only pay better as the candidate proves themselves. It is suggested, but not required, that the candidate is otherwise financially stable whether due to family support, investments or otherwise.
Job will entail zoom court appearances, responding to clients by phone and email, updating case outcomes, in person Court on occasion, drafting pleas, negotiating pleas, simple trials when necessary, client intake and billing, etc.
We are a small boutique firm and this is a very limited opportunity for the right candidate. It is more flexible than a typical position with a bigger law firm and you'll likely find it to be somewhat less demanding than a bigger firm.
