Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team and drive excellence in financial management, reporting, and compliance. Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage tax accounting processes, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting for various entities, leveraging your tax experience to optimize financial outcomes.
- Oversee auditing procedures, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and internal controls.
- Facilitate financial report writing and interpretation to support executive decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
- Perform analysis of financial concepts such as asset management, mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, and investment portfolios.
- Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms for bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable management, and financial data entry.
- Support non-profit accounting activities when applicable, ensuring proper fund allocation and regulatory adherence.
- Assist in budgeting processes and financial planning efforts to promote organizational stability and growth.
- Maintain compliance with securities law regulations and regulatory reporting standards while supporting internal control assessments under SOX guidelines.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law to advise on related financial strategies.
- Proficiency in technical accounting areas such as GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis techniques including account analysis and financial report interpretation.
- Experience with various accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms for effective bookkeeping and asset management.
- Demonstrated expertise in auditing procedures, internal controls (including SOX), and compliance standards across industries.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation with precision.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with a solid grasp of financial concepts like mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, and financial services.
- Effective communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and presenting complex data clearly to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law considerations, and non-profit accounting practices is a plus.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
