Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support initiatives within the Fraud Management area. This role will partner with business stakeholders, fraud operations teams, compliance partners, and technology teams to define, refine, and document business and system requirements that support fraud detection, investigation, monitoring, and related technology solutions. The position requires a self-directed analyst who can lead discussions, translate business needs into clear technology requirements, and produce documentation that is consumable by agile delivery teams.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in requirements elicitation, system requirements writing, and stakeholder facilitation, with the ability to work independently across business and technical teams. Experience in financial services and brokerage environments, particularly those connected to Pershing, is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Lead discussions and working sessions with business stakeholders, fraud management teams, and technology SMEs to understand and document business requirements.
Elicit, analyze, and document requirements using a variety of industry-standard business analysis techniques.
Write clear, complete, and actionable system requirements to support fraud management solutions and related technology enhancements.
Work independently with business and technology SMEs to refine and document technology requirements for agile teams.
Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements that are testable, traceable, and aligned to fraud management objectives.
Support delivery teams by ensuring requirements are well-defined and ready for implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align fraud management processes, controls, and technology solutions with business goals.
Assist in identifying process improvements and opportunities to strengthen fraud prevention, detection, and response capabilities.
Skill Requirements
Experience with requirements elicitation and documentation using various industry-standard techniques.
Experience writing system requirements.
Ability to lead discussions to understand business requirements.
Ability to work independently with business and technology SMEs to refine and document technology requirements consumable by agile teams.
Experience supporting business and technology initiatives in a complex IT environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Fraud Management, fraud operations, fraud technology, or related risk/control domains.
Experience working with BNY Pershing software.
Experience working with financial institutions that utilize Pershing for brokerage services.
Experience in financial services, brokerage, banking, or regulated enterprise environments.
Familiarity with fraud detection workflows, case management, transaction monitoring, or related fraud support systems.
