American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of high-level acute OR experience and current CST certification.

Work in a Pediatric Operating Room within a 152-bed Level II pediatric trauma hospital featuring a 70-bed Level IV NICU
-
Facility includes 8 total ORs (7 general and 1 CVOR)

Care for patients ranging from neonates to 18-year-olds, including adult-sized patients, developmentally delayed patients, and those with congenital anomalies
-
Scrub for a wide range of cases including pediatric trauma, neurosurgery, spine, urology, gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, ENT, and general surgery

Preferred but not required experience in dental, ophthalmology (strabismus repairs), and robotics (DaVinci XI)

Epic EMR system used
-
May float to PICU to assist with procedures and to NICU at TG (connected by walkway)

8-hour day shifts scheduled from 0645-1515
-
Other available shift options include 10H Days (0645-1715), 12H Days (0645-1915), and 12H Nights (1845-0715)

Weekend shifts are unlikely but may be assigned if weekend staff are unavailable

On-call requirement of approximately 2 weeknights (1900-0700) and 1 weekend (1900 Friday - 0700 Monday) every 6 weeks with a 30-minute response time

Night shift staff are not required to take call

Minimum of 2 years of high-level acute OR experience, with consideration given for adult or pediatric background

First-time travelers accepted if they have 5+ years of experience

BLS certification required

CST certification required

Washington state license required (must be in hand or have proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior)

License required if applicable

Proficiency scrubbing for the listed pediatric case types required

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Candidates should be prepared for a two-step interview process including a clinical interview and a unit-level interview
