Job Summary
The Estimating & Purchasing Coordinator provides essential support to both preconstruction and construction teams by assisting with estimating, vendor pricing, procurement, selections coordination, and cost tracking for luxury custom and speculative residences. This role is integral to ensuring that each project is meticulously budgeted, strategically sourced, and supported by timely pricing, purchase orders, subcontractor proposals, and effective vendor communication.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently within a dynamic, fast-paced residential construction environment. This position requires clear and professional communication with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and accounting personnel to ensure alignment of budgets, schedules, and purchasing decisions throughout all phases of construction.
Key responsibilities include:
● Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids
● Preparing and updating project estimates
● Coordinating and analyzing material quotations
● Assisting in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders
● Monitoring and tracking pricing fluctuations
● Cultivating and maintaining strong vendor relationships
● Organizing and refining scopes of work
● Ensuring all selections and procurement decisions are accurately documented
Qualifications include:
● Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred
● 2+ years of experience in estimating, purchasing, or residential construction
● Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction management software
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
● Effective written and verbal communication skills
● Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
