Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Spray Foam Insulation Technician to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality spray foam insulation in residential and commercial buildings, contributing to energy efficiency and comfort for our clients. The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills in construction and insulation installation. Duties
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately install spray foam insulation according to project requirements.
- Operate power tools and airless paint spraying equipment safely and efficiently to apply spray foam insulation with precision.
- Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to cut, shape, and fit insulation materials as needed for various building components.
- Climb ladders and scaffolding regularly to access different areas of the structure while maintaining safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures including proper handling of chemicals, power tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to ensure project specifications are met on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience or background in building insulation installation preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, masonry, plastering, caulking, stucco application, or airless paint spraying is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools and power tools operation.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to insulation installation.
- Experience climbing ladders safely and working at heights on construction sites.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including power tool safety practices and chemical handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and teamwork in a construction environment.
