At MAG Insulation, we’re more than coworkers – we’re family. We’re seeking a Senior Insulation Technician / Crew Lead to guide our field teams, mentor technicians, and help deliver high-quality insulation projects across residential and commercial sites.
Job Overview:
As a Senior Insulation Technician / Crew Leader, you’ll combine hands-on expertise with leadership skills to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work with a variety of insulation materials, including fiberglass, foam, cellulose, and spray foam, while guiding a crew of 4–10 field staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams, coordinating tasks and guiding field staff to ensure successful, on-time, and cost-effective project completion.
- Install insulation in buildings, including walls, attics, roofs, and crawl spaces, using materials such as fiberglass, foam, cellulose, and spray foam.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to determine insulation requirements and optimal installation methods.
- Mentor and develop field team members, providing guidance, training, and feedback to build technical skills and professional growth.
- Serve as a communication bridge between project staff, clients, and partners to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Apply finishes such as vapor barriers or sealants as needed, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain tools and spray foam equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, enforcing adherence to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in insulation or construction-related services, including spray foam application.
- Proven leadership and crew management experience on construction sites.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Safety-focused with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Team player with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn and mentor others.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background checks and DOT 10-panel drug screening.
