HVAC Installation Supervisor
Location: Columbus, OH
A1 Mechanical is a residential new construction and service-based HVAC company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with sister companies located in Cincinnati, Dayton, Lansing, and Grand Rapids.
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Rough Installation Project Supervisor to oversee the successful execution of residential new construction HVAC projects in the field. This position serves as the bridge between the office and the job site, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys mentoring installers, and can build strong relationships with builders and field personnel. While this position provides leadership in the field, it is not responsible for production scheduling or dispatching, allowing the Project Supervisor to focus on project execution, quality control, and supporting the installation teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee rough installation projects from start to finish to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.
- Conduct routine job site visits to verify installations meet company standards, approved plans, and local building codes.
- Serve as the primary field contact for builders, superintendents, inspectors, and project managers.
- Identify and resolve installation issues before they impact project schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and support to rough installation crews.
- Train and mentor installers on proper installation techniques and company expectations.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
- Assist with project planning, material coordination, and field logistics.
- Maintain accurate documentation, job notes, and communication with office staff.
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain professional job site standards.
- Assist with rough installations when additional field support is needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of residential HVAC rough installation experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems, duct design, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and HVAC layouts.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with builders, inspectors, and field personnel.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing residential new construction projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and inspection requirements.
- Experience coaching and developing HVAC installers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
