Job Title: Touring Video Editor & Content Creator
Overview
Comedian Martin Amini and Room 808 Comedy Club are looking for a creative, reliable, and fast-moving Video Editor / Content Creator to join the team.
This role is for someone who can edit high-quality social media content, capture live comedy shows, travel on tour when needed, and help produce content for Room 808 in Washington, DC. The right person understands pacing, storytelling, social media trends, comedy timing, and how to turn live moments into clips that people want to watch and share.
This is a paid position with opportunities to work on touring content, podcast clips, behind-the-scenes footage, Room 808 promotional content, and social media videos across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
Responsibilities
Edit short-form and long-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, and other platforms.
Capture live comedy shows, crowd work, behind-the-scenes moments, podcast content, and Room 808 events.
Travel with Martin Amini on select tour dates to film shows, backstage content, city content, and promotional material.
Edit comedy clips with strong timing, rhythm, subtitles, captions, and clean audio.
Create engaging social media videos that feel current, fast-paced, and platform-specific.
Organize and manage video files, raw footage, project files, and final exports.
Work with the team to develop content ideas for Room 808, tour promotion, podcast clips, comedian interviews, and brand storytelling.
Assist with basic lighting, camera setup, audio capture, and live event filming.
Turn around edits quickly while maintaining quality.
Repurpose longer footage into multiple short clips for social media.
Create simple graphics, titles, thumbnails, and branded video elements when needed.
Stay up to date on social media trends, comedy content formats, and editing styles that perform well online.
Qualifications
Proven experience editing video content for social media, YouTube, live events, podcasts, or entertainment brands.
Strong understanding of comedy timing, crowd work, live performance, and social media pacing.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, After Effects, or similar editing software.
Ability to shoot video using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, iPhones, or other professional video equipment.
Basic understanding of audio recording, lighting, camera framing, and live event production.
Strong eye for viral moments, punchlines, audience reactions, and storytelling.
Comfortable working nights, weekends, and traveling for tour dates when needed.
Highly organized with footage, hard drives, cloud folders, and project files.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines without needing constant supervision.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced comedy club and live entertainment environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience editing stand-up comedy, podcasts, interviews, nightlife, live events, or entertainment content.
Experience creating vertical video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Experience adding captions, subtitles, punch-in edits, sound design, and social media-friendly graphics.
Photography experience is a plus.
Knowledge of YouTube thumbnails, titles, and audience retention is a plus.
Schedule
This role may include a mix of remote editing, in-person filming at Room 808 in Washington, DC, and travel for select tour dates. Nights and weekends will be required depending on show schedules.

Pay: Up to $5,000.00 per month
