Security Peer Support Monitor
The Security Peer Support Monitor is responsible for helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized environment by monitoring access to the facility while supporting individuals in a respectful, trauma-informed manner. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and participants entering and exiting the building.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document individuals entering and exiting the building.
- Greet visitors, staff, and participants in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Ensure all visitors follow sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Verify appointments, scheduled visits, and authorized access to the facility.
- Monitor common areas and report safety, security, or environmental concerns.
- Assist with maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere throughout the facility.
- Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, or potential safety risks to leadership.
- Support emergency procedures and evacuation protocols when necessary.
- Provide peer support, encouragement, and redirection when appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Purpose:
The Security Peer Support Monitor helps balance safety and support by ensuring the facility remains secure while treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion. This role contributes to creating a trauma-informed environment where participants feel both safe and welcomed.
