Duties
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques
- Support rehabilitation efforts by helping patients perform prescribed exercises under supervision
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient information
- Provide compassionate patient care by addressing individual needs and fostering a supportive environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate intake procedures and ensure seamless patient transitions
- Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support clinical staff in delivering effective care
- Ensure safety during heavy lifting and physical activity by adhering to proper techniques and safety protocols
Requirements
- Prior experience in hospital or clinical settings, especially in inpatient or outpatient environments
- Familiarity with physiotherapy practices, rehabilitation care assistance, and post-acute or sub-acute care experience
- Knowledge of patient transfer methods, mobility aids, and manual handling safety procedures
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and hospital medicine practices
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or equivalent emergency response training
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while supporting patients’ mobility needs
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on empathetic patient service and maintaining confidentiality
- Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics or orthopedic patients is preferred
