An electric utility client is looking for a Project Manager who will Leads the development and management of integrated schedules supporting client’s General Rate Case (GRC) asset management programs
Position: Project Manager
Location: Pomona, CA - Hybrid Onsite M & Tu
Pay Rate: $75.13/hr. on W2
Duration: 18 months or longer
Schedule: 1st shift, M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead/manage multiple, programmatic projects (between 100 – 150 small/medium projects within a portfolio) with responsibility for results in terms of scope, costs, schedule, methods, and outcomes
- Provides direction for the project team and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle including, scoping and project initiation, planning and design, dependencies (e.g., material delivery, environmental, permitting), construction, and project close-out activities
- Direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution. Identifies problems and solutions. Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables and budgets.
- Utilizes project controls in exercising budget and schedule management, forecasting, performance monitoring such as variance analysis, maintaining schedules and project plans, identifying trends, and assessing performance against budget targets
- Works independently with minimal project analytical support (e.g., responsible to manage action items, process change control, set meeting agendas, take meeting minutes)
- Resolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 7+ years of project management experience with projects in the field
- Skilled in MS suite, Teams, SAP, Primavera P6 (or equivalent scheduling tool)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Project Management Professional certification
- Substation project management, construction, engineering or related utility experience
- Organized, good communicator, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and proactive
