Job Description:
Superintendents provide the knowledge, skills, and experience required to manage the day-to-day field operations for our commercial construction projects. The superintendent is responsible for the production of the work and for producing quality results on time and within budget while maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate new construction and major remodelling projects, including scheduling meetings and reviewing construction documents.
- Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries.
- Manage the project team with Project Manager.
- Manage project schedules and coordinate work to meet deadlines.
- Work with Project Manager in managing project budgets and costs.
- Manage project scope, scope change coordination, and execution of subcontract scope.
- Hold project coordination meetings with client representatives to proactively identify and resolve issues and present status updates.
- Manage quality control - adhere to plans, specs, governing authorities, and industry standards.
- Manage jobsite safety, health, organization, and cleanliness.
- Manage issue resolution.
- Professionally represent the Construction team and brand.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years in a Construction Supervisory position with projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.
- A demonstrated understanding of construction methods associated with renovation, construction, and site work.
- OSHA 30
- Working Knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry Regulations.
- Safety procedure knowledge, CPR First Responder.
- Knowledgeable of the construction process, construction materials, and methods.
- Ability to manage the self-perform work of employees and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership skills, including prioritization, organization, detail-oriented and task-focused.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees, associates, vendors, contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Computer literate with proficiency using industry-standard software, email and internet, and all Microsoft applications.
- Bachelor’s in Construction Management, or Engineering a plus
- Must be a committed team player.
