We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards
- Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and report any changes in residents’ conditions promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, and memory care best practices is essential
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Medication Administration or Group Home Experience are a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to community outings or transportation needs
