Blow Mold Process Technician-1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
Position Summary
The Blow Mold Process Technician is responsible for setting up, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing blow molding machines and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supports production goals by maintaining process stability, reducing downtime, improving cycle times, and ensuring products meet all quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, start up, and adjust blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling for production runs
- Monitor machine performance and process conditions to ensure optimal efficiency and product quality
- Troubleshoot processing issues related to machine operation, molds, material flow, temperature settings, air pressure, cooling systems, and cycle times
- Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and process improvements as needed
- Conduct first-piece inspections and verify products meet quality standards and specifications
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve defects and minimize scrap
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and downtime elimination
- Maintain accurate production and process documentation, including setup sheets and process parameters
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, GMP standards, and company policies
- Train and support machine operators on proper machine operation and process awareness
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities and report equipment concerns proactively
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas following 5S principles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in blow molding operations, process setup, and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of blow molding processes, machine functions, molds, and auxiliary systems
- Experience with extrusion blow molding and/or injection stretch blow molding preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, quality specifications, and production documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis preferred
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery
- Must be able to wear required PPE at all times

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
