Role Responsibilities
- Capital Projects & Facility Improvements
- Lead and manage plant capital projects from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal resources during installations and upgrades.
- Identify opportunities to improve production capacity, efficiency, and automation.
- Maintenance & Asset Reliability
- Partner with maintenance leadership to develop and execute preventive maintenance programs.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for recurring equipment failures.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for downtime events.
- Assist in planning facility infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and effectively.
- Safety Leadership
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and accountability.
- Work with Safety Supervisor to lead safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action development.
- Production Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Lead projects focused on increasing throughput, reducing waste, and improving labor utilization.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Collaborate with supervisors and department leaders to remove operational bottlenecks.
- Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
- Serve as a member of the plant leadership team, and act as a backup to the Plant Manager when necessary.
- Foster collaboration between production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, and sanitation teams.
- Support employee development and leadership training initiatives.
- Compliance & Food Safety
- Support compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Promote continuous improvement in food safety and quality systems.

- Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly walk production and warehouse areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environments including varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access production equipment when necessary.
Preferred Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience may be considered.
Experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience managing capital projects and facility improvements.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and equipment reliability practices.
- Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS system with an understanding of OSHA, food safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
