Customer Service Representative – Dispatch Operations
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Customer Service Representative to join our Dispatch Operations team. This role is responsible for managing customer communications, processing service requests, coordinating appointments, and supporting the daily planning and execution of container operations for assigned accounts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Receive customer service requests and accurately create work orders in the company's operating system.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers, terminals, warehouses, and other facilities as needed.
- Coordinate and plan daily operations for assigned container accounts to ensure efficient execution.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, drivers, and customers regarding schedules, updates, and service changes.
- Track order status and proactively resolve issues to ensure on-time service.
- Update customer records and maintain accurate documentation within internal systems.
- Work closely with operations and management to optimize workflows and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve service-related concerns, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Ensure all assigned accounts are managed efficiently while meeting company and customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, or dispatch is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
