For over a decade, On Point Tutoring has helped students gain confidence, improve academic performance, and develop lifelong learning skills. Since 2012, we've supported more than 5,000 students through personalized instruction and meaningful one-on-one mentorship.

We're searching for dependable, engaging educators who enjoy helping students overcome challenges and celebrate their progress. Whether you're an experienced tutor or an educator looking to expand your impact, you'll have the opportunity to build a consistent roster of students while expanding your tutoring practice through On Point Tutoring.
Because many students work with the same tutor for months or even years, we're looking for individuals who are interested in providing support throughout the year.
This is a year-round opportunity and is not intended for seasonal or temporary tutoring.
We invest significant time in orienting new tutors and providing ongoing resources, so we are selective about who joins our network.

Tutor Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable tutoring one or more academic subjects, including math, reading, writing, or science
- Ability to consistently make approximately 15 hours per week available for tutoring opportunities
- Interest in accepting tutoring opportunities throughout the academic year
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
- Comfortable creating practice assignments and sourcing supplemental learning materials when appropriate
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, punctual, and committed to providing an exceptional experience for students and families
Tutor Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized one-on-one academic tutoring that helps students strengthen skills and achieve their goals
- Develop engaging lesson plans based on each student's strengths and areas for improvement
- Utilize company curriculum while incorporating supplemental resources as needed
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages confidence and independence
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate session documentation
- Keep parents informed of student progress and upcoming goals
- Complete post-session notes promptly
- Arrive fully prepared with all necessary lesson materials
- Participate in team meetings (when available)
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and the On Point team

- Starting at $30/hour
