Join Our Team! New Beginning Counseling & Therapy Services, LLC is a DBHDS-licensed behavioral health provider committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based substance use treatment services. We are seeking a motivated Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Supervisee (CSAC-Supervisee) to join our growing clinical team and help clients achieve lasting recovery. This is an excellent opportunity to receive clinical supervision while gaining experience in a professional, team-oriented environment providing Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) services. Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group substance use counseling under approved clinical supervision.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and evidence-based recovery groups.
- Assist in completing client screenings, assessments, and treatment planning.
- Develop and review relapse prevention and recovery plans.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record (KIPU).
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Educate clients and families on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.
- Coordinate referrals and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency policies.
- Attend required supervision sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications Required:
- Active Virginia CSAC-Supervisee registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Commitment to ethical, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care.
Preferred:
- Experience working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and person-centered treatment planning.
- Experience in PHP, IOP, outpatient, or residential behavioral health settings.
