Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Residential Garage Door Technician, where you will play a vital role in installing, repairing, and maintaining residential garage doors and related systems. Duties
- Install residential garage doors, openers, and all related hardware with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Diagnose and repair garage door issues, including broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks, sensors, and motor problems
- Perform routine maintenance, safety tune-ups, and inspections
- Provide exceptional customer service, clearly explaining issues, solutions, and recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation of all jobs, including parts used, before/after photos, and service notes
- Ensure company vehicle (if provided), tools, and equipment are properly maintained
- Collaborate with office staff and other technicians to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery
- Doorhang in residential communities and sell or up-sale products and services
Qualifications
- 2+ years of garage door installation and repair experience (Preferred, not required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent troubleshooting skills
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- 1+ years of sales experience (Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical tasks safely
- Ability to use a smartphone to upload photos, text customers, and navigate vendor/job apps
- Must pass background check
- Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts as scheduled
