Responsibilities
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process linens and textiles effectively.
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, loading, unloading, and folding textiles while adhering to safety protocols.
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport laundry loads safely across the facility.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of laundry areas in compliance with safety standards in production.
- Apply proper laundry detergents and cleaning agents while following manufacturer instructions for textile cleaning and stain removal.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly when managing large loads or bulky items, always following manual handling safety procedures.
- Assist with customer service by responding promptly to laundry requests from hotel staff or guests when applicable.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items and operating laundry machinery.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities accurately.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in production environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on garment care and textile cleanliness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward providing exceptional service within a hospitality setting.
