Medical Assistant TMS & Spravato Programs Reimagine Psychiatry | Burbank, CA Part-time, transitioning to Full-time $19–$22/hour, depending on experience
Medical Technician (Certified Medical Assistant) – Spravato® & TMS Program
Reimagine Psychiatry | Burbank, CA | Part-Time, with growth to Full-Time | $19–$22/hour, DOE
About the Role
Reimagine Psychiatry is opening a new Spravato® (esketamine) and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) program in Burbank, and we're looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join us as a Medical Technician. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build a brand-new interventional psychiatry service line — you'll work closely with our psychiatric providers to deliver two of the most effective treatments available for treatment-resistant depression, all in a calm, patient-centered clinical setting.
No prior Spravato or TMS experience is required but experience is highly preferred. We provide full training for Spravato and hands-on TMS device training as part of onboarding — we just need a dependable, detail-oriented CMA who's excited to grow into these specialties.
What You'll Do
- Spravato (Esketamine) Administration Support: Check in patients, obtain vitals and pre-dose assessments, observe patients under direct provider supervision for the required minimum 2-hour post-dose monitoring period per the Spravato REMS program, and document monitoring notes (e.g., sedation and dissociation checks) in the EHR.
- TMS Treatment Delivery: Prepare patients and equipment for daily TMS sessions, position the treatment coil per protocol, run sessions according to provider-set parameters, and maintain a safe, comfortable treatment environment.
- Clinical Support: Room patients, take vitals, review medication and treatment history, and assist providers with in-clinic procedures as needed.
- Patient Experience: Explain what to expect before, during, and after Spravato and TMS sessions; monitor for side effects; and provide a calm, reassuring presence throughout treatment.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule and confirm treatment appointments, track the induction/maintenance treatment calendar, and coordinate with front-office staff on authorizations and REMS enrollment paperwork.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant records of all monitoring, dosing, and treatment sessions in line with REMS and clinic protocols.
What We're Looking For
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, in good standing
- Willingness to complete Spravato REMS healthcare-setting training and TMS device certification (provided by the clinic)
- Comfortable taking vitals, rooming patients, and working directly with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions
- Strong attention to detail and reliable documentation habits — accuracy matters for REMS compliance
- Warm, patient-first communication style; able to keep patients calm and comfortable during extended monitoring periods
- Comfortable with basic EHR and scheduling software
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or another interventional specialty is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the program ramps up
- Pay: $19–$22/hour, depending on experience
- Schedule built around Spravato dosing sessions and TMS treatment blocks; some flexibility required as the clinic establishes its hours
Why Join Us
You'll be one of the first clinical hires for a brand-new treatment program, with real input into how it's run day to day. We invest in training — you'll leave this role certified in two in-demand interventional psychiatry modalities — and you'll be part of a small, supportive team focused on helping patients who haven't found relief through traditional treatment.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
