As a CNA at Carolina Care Professionals, your day-to-day will include meaningful, skilled work that makes a direct difference in a client's quality of life:
- Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, weight) and promptly report any changes in client condition.
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to prevent injury and maintain mobility.
- Support meal preparation and feeding assistance, observing dietary needs and restrictions.
- Implement individualized care plans with precision and compassion, respecting each client's preferences and autonomy.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with the care team, supervisors, and family members regarding changes in client health or behavior.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all care activities and observations.
- Participate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and ongoing professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENT
We hire for heart first — and your credentials prove you've done the work to back it up. Here's what we require:
- Active CNA Certification: Must hold a current, valid CNA certification in the state of South Carolina.
- Experience: Prior in-home care, assisted living, or long-term care experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Vital Signs Competency: Proficiency in accurately monitoring and documenting vital signs.
- Physical Readiness: Able to safely perform caregiving tasks including lifting, transferring, and mobility assistance per safety protocols.
- Reliability & Punctuality: Consistent, dependable attendance — your clients count on you.
- Trustworthiness & Integrity: Demonstrates the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and respect.
- Communication Skills: Communicates effectively with clients, families, and the care team both verbally and in written documentation.
- Tech Comfort: Ability to use basic digital tools for scheduling and care documentation.
