Universal Behavioral Health Hospital is hiring an experienced Quality Assurance nurse to organize, direct , monitor and evaluate QA program operations of the facility by creating a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to performance improvement standards and policies.
Mon through Fri 8-4:30, full time position.
Must be a nurse with training/experience in QA . QA nurse should have excellent analytical, organizational, managerial and administrative skills. Must be efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of hospital and patients alike.
Responsibilities
- Direct, oversee, track, trend and evaluate QA activities.
- Monitor and implement infection control policies.
- Guide QA activities, monitor key indicators.
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the QA department.
- Organize and coordinate performance improvement, quality improvement and patient care processes improvement.
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for regulatory compliance and high quality standards.
- participate in inspections and surveys.
- Help organization to be survey ready.
- Analyze data and produce monthly reports.
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations.
- Report to CEO.
Skills
- Proven experience as director of quality assurance. Psychiatric hospital experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital infection control procedures and processes. Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare QA programs.
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel.
- Great communication and analytical skills.
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Degree in nursing; Valid Louisiana nursing license and CPR certification.
