4 Day Workweek Monday - Thursday (Some Mandatory Overtime)
Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive production orders and job assignments from supervisor.
- Verify the materials supplied for production are correct to produce job.
- Set up press by hanging the proper rolls of film, setting up unwind and rewind and setting the correct tension required.
- Set slitting blades to desired width.
- Complete job maintaining optimum production rate while maintaining all quality standards according to customer specifications or company guidelines monitoring for defects
- Maintain continuous inspection of job specifications and collecting production run samples as required
- Follow all safety and operational procedures
- Complete production records
- Ensure proper cleanliness of machine and immediate work area
- Complete weekly machine maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Wide Web rewinder/slitter
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Ability to read a ruler
- Work well in a team environment
- work overtime as needed
- Ability to work within department standards with a strong attention to details
- Will train the right candidate.
