Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure
- Prior experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Positive, collaborative approach to working with educators and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate speech therapy goals in the classroom
- Conduct screenings and evaluations as needed
- Guide and support SLPA’s and potentially delegate responsibilities as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in meetings and provide updates to families and educational teams
