Duties
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and handling ingredients safely
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy for guests
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, and storage areas through regular cleaning routines
- Help with catering setups and banquet events by washing dishes and organizing serving ware
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene compliance across all tasks
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and serving is a plus
- Enthusiasm for working in a hospitality environment with a focus on guest satisfaction
