Job Overview

Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or assembling ingredients under supervision
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishes to the dishwashing station
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and boxes safely according to proper lifting techniques
- Support kitchen staff with general cleaning duties to uphold sanitation standards across all food prep areas
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing during shifts
- Good manual handling skills with attention to detail in cleaning procedures
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
