Overview
We are on the lookout for a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. As a key player in delivering memorable dining experiences, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued, and well taken care of from the moment they arrive. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the service / hospitality industry and providing top-notch customer service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu options with enthusiasm and knowledge.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items like drinks or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Process cash and card transactions smoothly while handling cash handling responsibilities with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly to keep service flowing seamlessly.
- Assist with guest relations by responding to inquiries, accommodating special requests, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly preferred; experience with fine dining is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is beneficial; training can be provided if needed.
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation enhances guest interactions.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing sales transactions and managing tabs.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is essential for maintaining high standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that makes every guest feel welcome and appreciated.
