Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and dependable Route Sales & Merchandising Representative to manage and grow our presence across a multi-market territory covering Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky. This dynamic, road-based role combines product delivery, in-store merchandising, and relationship management to ensure our products are always available, well-presented, and performing at peak sales potential.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Distribution
- Execute timely and accurate delivery of products to retail, grocery, and commercial accounts throughout the assigned territory
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for maximum efficiency
- Safely load, transport, and unload product using proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records, invoices, and proof-of-delivery documentation
Merchandising & Shelf Management
- Stock, rotate, and organize products on shelves, displays, and coolers following planogram guidelines
- Build and maintain eye-catching promotional displays that drive sales
- Monitor product freshness and remove outdated items per company standards
- Identify and act on opportunities to secure additional shelf space and premium placement
Sales & Account Development
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with store managers and key contacts
- Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets and volume goals
- Identify new business opportunities and prospective accounts within the territory
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular territory updates to management
- Communicate competitive activity and account feedback effectively
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required but a plus)
- Prior experience in route sales, delivery, merchandising, or a related field preferred
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a multi-stop daily schedule independently
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding goals
- Basic proficiency with mobile devices and handheld scanning equipment
- Familiarity with the Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, or Northern Kentucky area is a plus
Pay: $20.00 per hour
