Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, and baked goods following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough sheeters safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package baked items carefully for storage or sale, ensuring presentation quality and freshness
- Assist with food preparation tasks including measuring ingredients and assembling components for baking
- Follow food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry preparation, or food production within a bakery or culinary environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in pastry preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
- High-volume production experience preferred, demonstrating efficiency under pressure
- Catering experience or experience in the food industry is a plus
- Passion for baking with a keen eye for detail in recipe adherence and presentation
