American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in a Level III Trauma facility, with EP lab experience preferred.

Acute care hospital setting with a combined Cath Lab, IR, and EP lab unit across 3 suites
-
Level III Trauma facility
-
Average of 8–12 cases per day
-
Common Cath Lab cases include left and right heart caths, STEMIs, ICDs, pacemakers, carotids, and peripheral procedures
-
Common IR cases include venous placement, port-a-cath, fistula, biliary tube, nephrostomy tube, and IVC filter
-
EP Lab cases include ablations and device implants
-
EMR: Cerner (Xper)
-
Telemetry system: Philips
-
Ventilators available on unit; RT and Pharmacy support available 24/7
-
5x8-hour day shifts, self-scheduling with core hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
-
Weekday evening call required as needed, shift runs 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Weekend call required approximately every other weekend, from 3:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday

Call response time is 30 minutes; call team consists of one nurse and two techs

Holiday call coverage is required; voluntary holiday work is permitted

Floating between IR, Cath Lab, and EP Lab is required
-
Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
-
RCIS or ARRT certification accepted (based on staffing needs)
-
Active BLS, ACLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required; pending certifications will not be accepted
-
Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted

Cerner experience preferred

Candidates must provide a copy of their driver's license for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Travel experience preferred

EP lab experience is preferred for travel candidates
-
Perform procedures across Cath Lab, IR, and EP Lab, including structural heart, peripheral vascular, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology cases

On-site orientation is approximately one week

Scrubs are provided

Cardiologist is on call after hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); charge nurse is available on-site during day hours with supervisor on call after hours

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
