Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and state-certified HVAC Contractor or Installer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Manual J load calculations and capable of performing high-quality HVAC system installations and replacements according to industry standards and local codes.
This position is ideal for professionals who are committed to accuracy, safety, and delivering excellent service to both residential and light commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Manual J load calculations to determine proper HVAC sizing and system requirements.
- Install, replace, and service HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ventilation systems.
- Ensure all installations are code-compliant and meet manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Collaborate with project managers, team members, and clients to ensure job completion and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and ensure proper disposal of materials.
- Drive company vehicle to and from job sites and suppliers.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC installation and service.
- State-approved HVAC certification/license.
- Demonstrated experience with Manual J, S, and D calculations (Manual S/D a plus).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient with hand and power tools and capable of lifting 60 lbs or more.
- Strong understanding of local building codes and safety procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPA 608 Certification
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
- Experience in both residential and light commercial HVAC
- Familiarity with HVAC design software (e.g., Wrightsoft, CoolCalc)
