Full-Time Server — Fillet Sushi, Old Town Monrovia
Job Description
Fillet Sushi is hiring a part-time server to join our front-of-house team in Old Town Monrovia.
We are a refined neighborhood sushi restaurant focused on quality ingredients, chef-finished sushi, warm hospitality, and a guest experience that feels professional but not intimidating. We are looking for someone who can represent the restaurant with confidence, care, and consistency.
This role is best for someone who enjoys hospitality, can communicate clearly with guests, and wants to grow with a serious restaurant team.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally
- Guide first-time guests through the menu
- Explain sushi, omakase, sake, specials, and service charge clearly
- Take orders accurately and enter them into POS
- Run food and drinks when needed
- Maintain table awareness and timing throughout service
- Support guest experience from seating to check presentation
- Keep dining room, service stations, and side work clean and organized
- Work closely with sushi bar, kitchen, and other FOH team members
- Help create a polished, welcoming dining experience
Requirements
- Previous restaurant serving experience preferred
- Sushi, Japanese restaurant, sake, or fine dining experience is a plus
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable explaining menu items to guests
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand and move during service
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Schedule
Full-time position available.
Must be available for dinner shifts and weekends.
Typical shifts may include:
- Tuesday–Sunday availability
- Lunch and/or dinner depending on business needs
- Weekend availability required
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay plus tips/service-related compensation, based on experience and schedule.
