KACK ENTERPRISE LLC is a United States Postal Service contractor. We are seeking a safety-conscious and reliable Temporary CDL Class B Box Truck Driver to join our team in a fast-paced operation. We have an immediate temporary, part-time CDL B Box Truck Driver position available on a local route in Charlotte, NC. This is a touch freight position.
The temporary box truck driver position would be for the following approximate dates:
August 20, 2026 - October 15, 2026 (dates are subject to change based on operational needs. However, this position may have the opportunity to become permanent).
Pay:
- $32.95 per hour (Pay Breakdown: $27.40 per hour plus a $5.55 per hour Health & Welfare Fringe Benefit, paid for up to 80 hours per pay period)
- Company Driver position
- Paid bi-weekly
- Paid training and ride-along
- 24/7 dispatch support
Schedule:
- Temporary, Part Time driver position, at least 30 hours per week
- Driver will work Monday - Saturday
- Off DUTY on Sunday
- Availability to holidays as needed
- Home daily
Schedule Overview:
Monday - Saturday Schedule - Total route hours are 5 hours per day
The driver will start at approximately 02:10 am and travel from the KACK Enterprise Yard on Aberdeen Blvd, Gastonia to the RPDC and the LPC to load the truck. The driver will then travel to the post offices along the assigned route to deliver and off-load the truck. Then, the driver will re-load at Marshville and travel back to the RPDC to off-load.

Drivers are responsible for:
- Picking up, transporting, and delivering bulk U.S. Mail using a 26-foot box truck.
- Physically loading and unloading mail using APCs, BMCs, and other rolling containers, and perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Collecting mail involves physically loading the truck with rolling containers of mail.
- Dropping off mail requires physically offloading the truck.
- Completing assigned routes and related duties safely and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class B
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that reflects safety consciousness (limited minor violations may be considered)
- Ability to pass: Postal background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to safely maneuver and back box truck in tight spaces
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Maintain logs and transportation documentation
- Use navigation and route tools including: GPS, Smartphone (required), Google Maps and/or MapQuest, and the Samsara App
- Detailed knowledge of and ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including: Hours of Service (HOS), Vehicle inspections, and Transportation safety requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to: Time-sensitive deliveries, Traffic delays, and various weather conditions
- Ability to maintain safe operating practices while managing the physical and mental demands of commercial driving.
